Walnut Creek, Calif., December 1, 2020 – The American Heart Association announced that CSAA Insurance Group has achieved national Gold recognition on the 2020 Workplace Health Achievement Index for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace. This is the tenth consecutive year that CSAA Insurance Group has achieved Gold-level status.
The American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index is a web-based scorecard that looks at organizational best practices and aggregates employee health data to evaluate the overall quality and comprehensiveness of workplace health programs. Studies show that worksites with a culture of health with comprehensive, evidence-based policies and programs, and senior leadership support are more likely to have engaged employees and a healthier, more productive workforce.

In partnership with AAA Clubs around the country, CSAA Insurance Group provides personal lines of AAA-branded insurance, including vehicle and property. The company’s award-winning “Living Healthy at AAA wellness” program aims to promote a work environment that encourages personal accountability for health and well-being. By offering well-being incentives, fitness challenges, prevention resources and more, CSAA’s program helps to reduce employee health risks, enhances quality of life and supports an innovative culture.
The Workplace Health Achievement Index recognizes companies for a commitment to improving workplace health culture. To achieve Gold status, companies must implement various physical activity and nutrition options, and demonstrate a culture of wellness in the workplace and achieve an Index score of at least 175 out of a maximum 217 points.
